wow, what a fun-filled weekend with anjali. Wound down on Sunday in Petersham visiting Gloria's Cafe and the Honeymoon Patisserie, what a meal!. Always on the lookout for a good time, Anjali has come to really enjoy our weekend walking.

been a long time, but i have a new little friend to introduce to the world. she feeds every three hours, which means i miss out because her carers (also mine) often forget these days. but she's so cute i just don't care. her name's anjali, and she has just celebrated six fun-filled weeks in the world, doing all sorts of things. and she has such fantastic hair.

Jinga's mates are at it again. I don't know why exactly the little buggers are taking their anger out on us. It could be something in the atmosphere, maybe our environment or perhaps, it could be the roo mince. I doubt whether anything would stop Jinga on a bellyfull of roo-pulp, not legislation, even if well-intentioned, because he doesn't read.

As a young pups we used to look at pictures of Astronauts walking on the moon and wonder, will we really be on Mars by 1972? Now there are some guys who are making that antiquated dream come true. Look at the lovely movie clips Why, it's just like being seven years old all over again.

We actually have a bird problem at the moment in Marrickville. There is a big backlash against birds plying their wares in their own homes. I think there is a protest next week

In sunny Marrickville we too have Lorikeets, which Jinga likes very much. The deli also stocks lots of different sorts of birds.

Hello again from TEZNEZCO! (The Company Run By Bears! TM). Normally we talk about bear related topics in the real world and on the web... but we have other interests too. We like cats, sure. We like Jinga (as we mentioned yesterday), and although we're pro-dog we haven't been fussed about 'em for years. A hound type pooch was spotted last night on Victoria Street near Kings Cross. Rachel asked why Staffie dogs are so popular. We had no answer for that. It's inexplicable.

Of far more interest is the amazing number of birds that live near our house. If we had a top five birds it would go something like this...

At Number One we have the Brush Turkey, a top bird that is unrelated to all other turkys except in name.

The Number Two spot is currently held by the attractive Crested Pigeon. Sometimes called a "pigeon with a hat on" the pigeon is very popular right now, mostly due to its wings, which make an odd noise as they fly away from you.

Number Three, down from the number two spot, is the Little Pied Cormorant, a sea going, diving, fishing and follow-you-360-degrees-with-its-neck bird that is also, according to Catherine, very good luck.

Number Four, right now, is the Pelican, a stately bird that flys over our house but never lands. To get a close up look at one you have to drive to Woy Woy and Fisherman's Wharf where there is daily feeding. The pelicans look kind of stupid at first but when you get close you realise they're simply unconcerned. Who's going to mess with them?

Certainly not Number Five, the ever popular Rainbow Lorakeet, an annoying chatterbox that always seems over-excited.

last night i heard the strangest thing - squeaking noises from the house next door. I have to go and have a look but I don't know how. In the house there is a dog who barks even when I am sitting on the fence. It is not his fence but he is probably frustrated because he can't walk along the top of the wooden palings like I can. I really must get into that house - the garden smells fantastic. The people that live there just throw all their rubbish into the garden. Such a complicated, sophisticated aroma - I can't immediately guess what is causing what smell - I love it.

Good afternoon,
Today is pretty quiet as I am still recovering from my fight 2 weeks ago. No one has come into the back garden today which is strange because normally there are one or two cats who pass through. I think I must have sent a message loud and clear when I fought the dirtiest, meanest puss on the block. I like this garden - it smells, things move and rustle in the bushes and it is mine. Miguel and Fleur don't use it much - I wish they would. It is much more fun when they are out here, especially at night.
